January 26, 2018

Â鶹ÊÓƵ College's Digital Competencies Program helps students build the digital skills and critical perspectives on technology needed for success in the digital age.

"I’ve had a lot of fun these past few weeks broadening my digital competencies and gaining experience with historical and archival research," writes Courtney Dalton '19, one of the "Winterns." Dalton spent her winter break learning new digital skills and doing archival research, in preparation for the in-progress History of Women in Science project. Ultimately, Dalton and the other digital scholarship fellows will build a 3D model of an old science lab in Dalton Hall. For now, Courtney Dalton shares her finding from exploring historic diaries and letters from Â鶹ÊÓƵ science students of the past, and learning how digital techniques tie in to historical research.
